Do you think its acceptable to burn an after bbq fire log in your bbq even when the site states no fires?

I have burned a fire log in my BBQ tray - just make sure the grass is well protected underneath. Charcoal doesnt have the same effect as a fire - looking at white glowing coals isnt the same as watching the flames. No one has ever asked me to put it out, i think it helps keep the bugs away and creates a nice ambience (thats if the rain stops of course)

Hi
We have done it so must lots of campers,but you really must
not do it if the smoke is blowing towards you neighbors tent.
You can move to the other-side of it but your neighbor can not move his tent.
