We have just been through 64 sausages for breakfast this last week , between 2 adults and 2 children - Yum !
Someone on a different thread suggested the bottle of pancake mix and that has been a real hit with my boys - having been in Cornwall I had to have a pasty every day and of course cream teas. We had a Indian takeaway twice and numerous chip butties. Lots of fresh fruit tho and as my plastic wine glass is huge......................

I'm not so shy now .Am colourful pyjama- wearing person who likes to say hello.
Minty - she's a girls best friend and Aurora and Colin keep us snug and warm.
I can confirm that camping food is good for you as I've just been weighed at the doctor's this morning and prior to doing so I gave her my sob story about being on holiday and I doubted I'd lost any weight. In fact I'm sure the opposite was true, I thought I'd gained but when I stepped on the scales and opened my eyes I had lost another 2kg so I CAN confirm that barbeques every night with lashings of white bread sandwiches for lunch are now officially diet food!!!!!! Not forgetting the addition of copious quantities of chocolate biscuits and fried breakfasts. Forget slimming world and weight watchers just go camping.
------------- If you have a problem stressing you, sort it. If you can't, there's no point worrying about it coz it won't make a blind bit of difference!!!! Jules
I recon I can cook better meals on a simple cooker in a field than I can at home with all the gear............

I lost weight on our last camping trip which was dead surprising really considering we had a gas fridge which contained only wine and chocolate ( and a pint of milk!) x

We still have cereal or toast for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch BUT we make up for it for our evening meal something on the BBQ with veggies - ok so far but then blow the calorie intake sky high with bananas done on the barbie with peaches, marshmallows, mars bar and clotted cream. The sweet has kind of evolved over the years into a tradition - we havent had it so far this year so I think this weekend we will have to go for it and sod the diet

I am glad I am not the only one that loves bananas done on the barbie. Most people have never heard of them done this way, but they are gorgeous, especially when you slice them lengthways after cooking them and then pouring whatever liqueur you fancy over them, or just double cream.
We also have these and I used to have them when i was a child when I used to camp with my parents bananas, brown sugar, rum and thick double cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! heaven or bananas slit down the middle and filled with milk and white chocolate buttons done in foil on bbq bliss!!!! (now how many bananas have I got in the fruit Bowl?)
Cadbury chocolate fingers are a camping staple in this family!
A good bbq desert ( which I cannot have with my nut allergy :( ) Sit banaas in their skins length ways then fill with half a marsbar also slit lengthways ,wrap in foil and shove on the barby coals whilst your eating you bbq ,when you are finished they will be ready ,great with squirty cream or icecream if you have a combicool ;)
