Whilst camping in very windy conditions in a Pro Action Nevada 8 person the tent collapsed bending and breaking some of the poles. Any advice on where i can get some new poles or should i just save the hassle and buy a new tent?

Poles and shock cord are cheap enough in most camping shops, they are easy to mend and cut to size if need be, take along the broken pole and they should hopefully be able to give you the right replacement. I have replaced a broken pole and needed to saw the new one to size, they told me how to do it in the shop, saved me a fortune buying it directly from the manufacturer. I think the pole was about a fiver and the cord about 3 quid.

I've saved 3 broken poles by rumaging through campsite skips. There is loads of partially damaged stuff to pick up and keep in your tent bag as spares.

Well you can patch it up,but what about next time.Not the best of quality the Pro Action tents from Argos.

My partner has a pro-action and i wondered about the quality. We ended up in gale force winds in wales last year, awning were broken, tents destroyed, gazebos ruined, but the pro-action stood it all!
