Good luck! We did our first trip recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Just take things as they come and don't panic about anything. You will find there are a lot of nice people out there ready to lend a hand should you need it! The weather is looking promising for next week to.

While you're heading towards the Brecon Beacons, we'll be heading towards close to your ncek of the woods on Tuesday for trip #2 - Somerset.

Well as its our first trip and we have a 2.5 year old little girl we are just doing 2 nights to see how she gets on. I used to go camping in my early teens and was a Cub Scout and Scout until 13 so have some experience but being 30 now that was a little while ago hehe.

Have fun and just enjoy yourself, that's all we ever do. First camping trip we went on our daughter was 1 and our son was nearly 4. They loved it and cannot wait till we go again. We just had 5 nights in Folkestone and want to go again but not sure if our budget can stretch that far

Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.

Ok all back and it was great! Wasnt problem free as we pulled up in the car park and checked in then my car refused to start! Had to call out the RAC and be told my starter was shot! He advised we park it ready to jump on a hill so after whacking it with a hammer had to find a pitch and unload everything leaving it running then park it up.

The owners let us leave it on their private drive which had a slope which was brill but it meant we were stuck on the site the whole weekend and now I got back today and left it at the garage with an impending big bill!

Still camping was great, my toddler loved it but would only sleep in with us and not in her own bedroom as she was scared by the wind and other strange noises. Wont be our last trip though!

Pity the car didn't like the trip as much as the rest of the family!!

We had our first trip last week too and thoroughly enjoyed it....good job we weren't too far from home though because we forgot the torches LOL OH volunteered to drive home and get them.

Hope you have many other trips!!
