Hiya,
Only started camping this year and already have experienced fair few bent pegs etc. So was thinking of getting some of the Delta Pegs that everyone is raving about but just wondered what ones ie nylon or metal and how many should we get.

Delta pegs are only used on guy ropes,i have both types, but the plastic ones cope with most grounds. The metal ones are best suitable to stoney ground.
I am sure Rob (Delta pegs) will advise you how many you need for tent. If you let him know you are a member of this site,he will give you 10% discount.

Sorry but I just don't rate them, they are not that much different from the wire type pegs that you get free with most cheap tents

Hi bolan.
I think they are the best pegs for your guy-ropes ever made
I have also given the reason, I state this several times,I have also tested them against other pegs on our lawn. And used them successfully for a couple of years.
Would you care to tell us why you do not rate them. Do you own some, have you tested some. I wont guess that you have not. I know you have not, because if you had no intelligent camper could make the statement you have made.
Rex.

Sorry Rex, I just thought I would say something different for a change, the threads were quite boring and I thought I would brighten up my day. As far as percentages go I bet Delta pegs are high up there on this forum so what better subject to go against the trend. Anyway I do own some and use them on a regular basis and yes I rate them highly, only problem I have had is two out of my eight (plastic) ones cracked at the head, but I use a heavy (I think 4 lb) hammer to insert them so little room for error. I have also stated previously how good they are and allways will because they are very good.
Anyway glad to see that you are not napping and that you are still there fighting the cause, well done.
Please not that firstly I apologise if anyone took my post seriously. I highly recommend Delta pegs, I know of no others as good. I am not looking for free replacements for the two I damaged (they still do a job). And lastly I was in no way infering that if you get wire type pegs with your tent your tent is a cheapo.
Goodnight All Bolan

Well I ordered some yesterday and I've had two emails including one in the last few hours (Sunday night!!) to inform me of delivery.
If the Pegs are as good as the Communications I'll be one happy Camper. (Can't believe I just said that. )
