Hi we bought a handyrack,and it worked just as it states.
We carried our Cabanon Andorra tent, poles plus two wind breakers on it. but watch how tight you tighten it you can dent the roof if you really swing on the strapsand you must be accurate with the straps through the windows or the rain will seep in.
Yes they are well worth the money and pack away in your boot for all those occasions you need a roof rack.

Thanks for that Rex!! Much appreciated, we've ordered one as we want to be able to use it on both our cars without having to buy different rails for each. Will let you know how we get on, we'll make sure to pack it with the lighter stuff...sleeping bags, blow-up beds and other bits and bobs and try not to tighten it up too much!!
