How late into the autumn do you go camping? We have just returned from North Devon and the OH wants to put everything away until next year! The thought of no more camping this year is depressing
We had a bit of an 'Indian summer' up here last year and we went camping the second weekend in October. The nights were a bit chilly, which we overcame with a couple of small heaters, but the days were fantastic.

Thanks Tigermouse. I am feeling rebellious this morning. We have the tent up in the garden drying out at the moment, maybe I will get in it and refuse to come out until OH caves in.
camping is about weather we will or weather we don't
and as Tigermouse said last autumn was better than the summer. But It will get chilly in the evenings, so a camping heater and a hot water bottle is a must for me.
My Grandson was in the tent last christmas eve, this was in the garden but even so, pretty good going eh. the other thing is he is only 12 yrs old, but still a chip off the old granma block.x
Going up to the Lakes in third week of September. Expect to have glorious days and chilly (coats on outside) evenings. Can't wait, nineteen days and counting.
