Hi
Have had a great stay at Butterflowers campsite in Haverigg, Cumria(would def recommend it!)
Now want to go on quick break nearer to home to try a new tent out!!!
Have 2 kids & a dog, live in West Midlands, does anyone know of a good family friendly campsite near-ish??
Thanks

Kingsbury water park is very nice as is Drayton Manor Kids would love that but there are no electrics, Stourport isn't that far down the motorway either and there are some lovely sites there. But as Julie says W.mids is a big area, roughley where are you thinking of. Regards Maria

Thanks for that, have looked at the search but just wondered if anyone had been to these! We are in Stourbridge, so Stourport is just up the road(maybe too close to home?)! Anywhere in Midlands really, just want one thats good for kids.
Thanks for the replies

Hi Rae
We are in Kingswinford and have been to the The Green Park, between Craven Arms and Bishops Castle. It takes just over an hour to get there and is a nice site. Our kids love it because of the little stream that they can paddle in. Lickhill Manor, Stourport is also nice but as you say a little too close to home.
Hope you get fixed up. Whats your new tent? We are awaiting the arrival of our new Outwell Sunn Valley 8 on Monday - very exciting and also hoping to try it out in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks, I ve just had a quick look at the website, looks good to me! Will be pestering the other half later!
Hope your new tent is ok, outwell are very good arent they? We just ordered a bigger version of our last one really, a gelert tunnel tent. It has been great, so we have gone for meridian 10 (will be too big to put up in the garden!!! Hope it stays dry!!) 2 boys & a dog meant we needed more storeage space for all our junk, also wanted to try the sewn in ground sheet in the living area. Fingers crossed!
Hope you get to try yours out ok, let us know if you find anymore good campsites!

We've stayed at the Green Park too, and had a good time there.
If you go make sure you take wellies/jellies/crocs etc so the kids can paddle in the stream.

Rae,
Other nice sites that are not too much of a journey from Stourbridge:
- Townsend Farm (Shobdon)
- Tudor (by Slimbridge)
- Cotswold View.
Anyone recommend any others?

Hi,
Just come back from Westbrook park, just outside Ludlow. Lovely, well laid out and clean site. No bikes/scooters etc allowed, so may not suit all with kids(ours are too young to have them). Its was only 35 miles from us, but it was far enough, and it was great!

Hi,
We are also in Stourbridge and for the last 3 weekends running have been to The Green Park in Shropshire, Hopleys Farm in Bewdley and Lickhill Manor in Stourport.
Depending on the age of your kids they would all be fine, we find the kids don't know how far away from home you are and we have all enjoyed all 3.
Considering Malvern next?
Kate,
