I have an oversized outwell carpet that goes under the bedrooms for insulation.

Also we tend to put a blanket on top of the airbed, and there is always the dog to snuggle up to if things get bad.

As well as everything else previously mentioned here, fleece sleeping bag liners really help.

If backpacking or travelling light, sometimes I put fleece jacket around my legs on the outside of the sleeping bag and tie it on with the arms. 

Long johns, long sleeved vest, pjs, fleece, socks, gloves, hat.

Airmat (Exped Downmat are best to keep out cold)

Fleece blanket, down mummy (alpine) bag with shoulder baffle, silk liner.

Hot water bottle.

Cup of tea at bed time.

Did I mention that I feel the cold? And cycle camp all year. I only need about half that when my partner is with me.
