We have just returned from our 1st camping trip. I have read numerous posts on here and recieved alot of help with regards camping and it all helped to make our trip a real success and helped us to know what to buy. I have got to praise 3 items that made our trip perfect.

Carpet, ours cost £65 but made all the difference to the feel and comfort when inside our tent when it poured with rain. If you are considering getting one then do so, you won't regret it.

Chemical loo, ours was a thetford 165. We all used it and we never had any unpleasant odours. It was very easy to empty and saved numerous trips to the toilet block. I was dubious about the smell and toilet size but it was a real success. The flush was surprisingly good

Lastly our Vermont Xl. I have stayed in a Norfolk Lake which was great but our Vermont has put it in the shade, almost literally!! No leaks, easy to erect and pack away, with a fantastic layout. Again if you are thinking about buying one do it as I am sure you won't regret it. We stayed warm and dry with masses of space when we were all confined to the tent due to the weather.
