we are off so somerset on sat , we are going to risk it checked about 5 forcasts and some arent to bad , all saying different things but friday looks the worst
Just checked several weather sites, wind is mid to high 20 mph, rain at 90, 80, 70% on the days we were booked, we lose £50, but wont have wet gear to try and dry. its been a rubbish year for sure, we have had wet on all our trips this year, may try later on...what a bummer

I just phoned the camp in Pevensey Bay (Bay View) that we are due to go to Friday afternoon, explained that I quite liked my tent and didn't want it blowing all over the park and into the sea, they were really good and just moved my booking and deposit onto next weekend.
Great customer service and very understanding.
Perhaps you could put off until next weekend? Long range weather forecast looks good (but I suppose it could change between now and then).

Yes but they forcast gusts of 36mph, get a sheltered pitch because it might get flappy if your in a nylon tent.
We are off to Wookey Hole on Friday for four days, like every one else have checked the weather...the same as every other time we have been camping lol so just looking forward to getting out in our tent and making the most of it.
It failed last time out and just hope the shop did a proper repair, fingers crossed and hopping my signature is not true.

We should be off to Burton Bradstock but waiting to see what happens with the weather. So far it's been wrong all week as very little rain but lots of wind. Might just go Saturday if it picks up as I hate to see a pitch I paid for sitting empty.
Mmmmm, we were planning on going to Suffolk on Saturday for a few days, but are now considering Berwick the following weekend instead. Luckily we haven't booked a site yet - we usually leave it till the last minute to book anyway.
If we risk this weekend, but the wind & rain turn out to be as forecast, I know it would put hubby off camping in anything other than calm sunny weather - so if next summer is like this summer, how would I feed my addiction?
We didnt go, and seeing how bad it was here we think whilst dissapointing, it was the rigt move. We meant to ring the site, and our fault, however the owner rang us and asked if we were coming? when we apologised and explained; she said 'I waited till 17.30' and hung up!! We have no holiday left, so the best we can hope for is a weekend in October.. or like many it will be next year
