I have to let you know how far the customer service of this company stretches.  As you may know from other threads we have a Gelert Zenith 8 and have had wonderful breaks in it this year.  However, I have health problems which sometimes confine me to a wheelchair which doesn't allow me to help my husband pitch or pack away the tent every time.

The last time we went he had problems packing the tent away into its original bag so he and son put it in the roof box just to get home.

They tried several times to repack it properly after it had been thoroughly dried (don't you just love the british summer?) but still no joy.  I tried to explain what needed doing but as males they could not accept I was right.  So I sent Gelert an email asking them to save my marriage and give step by step instructions for packing the tent away - within an hour I had a reply which was very clear and also offered to send  me illustrations if that would help.

So if you can't figure out how to pack the tent away properly at the end of the season contact your manufacturer, you will be surprised at how helpful they can be.

That's really cool!

We love our Gelert tent, fortunately the bag (well suitcase really!!) is massive and more than big enough.

Thats really useful info.  I have just bought a meridian 10.  We took it out to have a look at it and make sure all the bits were there, and we have the same problem.  I will defo send an e-mail to see how its done.  We do have two bags one for the inner and one for outer!

hi kewlchick

we have the zenith 8 and i am panicking a little as we bought the tent last year. we tried to put it up with no hope, as the tent sounded like it was ripping we gave up and sent it back as half of the poles were broken.

new one arrived but due to bad weather never got time to put it up

so now we are going away in a couple of weeks and are hoping you can offer some advice as to putting it up because we just feel maybe we was doing something wrong.

please help
