Sounds to me that like you would like a new tent for next year .
You are not happy with the net, it will likely annoy you even more next year. Then you will find you won't be able to sell it for as much because its damaged. Also it seems that the extensions are not going to be readily available either with the range discontinued.
I'd take the refund, but keep the carpet, and sell the footprint.
the carpet will maybe fit the next tent you get, if tunnel design is your favourite. The nevada xl carpet would fit in most 8 berth tunnels of similar style/layout. I have this one, and use the carpet in a sunncamp eden 800, although its about a metre too short in the width, it serves the same purpose, and also use it in my kestrel 6, again, not wide enough, but adequate. Nobody notices that it's not wall to wall and never had a trip hazard with it either.
My carpet came with my tent as a package deal, to buy a carpet seperately for the tent, or for the other 2 tents I have would cost between £40- £60, and with prices increasing so dramatically, next year they will probably be a lot more expensive.
if you decide ona different layout where you can't make use of the carpet you'll probably have no trouble selling it next season .
but as the prices are going up so much, personally I'd be buying next years tent from this years range, before the increases.
