My daughter and our first ever tent

Out first tent I seem to remember was orange too. We also had a frame tnet that was blue and had plastic windows - if i remember right.

Now that's what I expected with my £2.20 jobbie!!

The slippers do look a bit dated for a 3 year old!

Sorry Rex, I was still using a Bukta Wanderlust and a Blacks Tinker in those days.
I didn't graduate to frame tents until I got married in the 70's. 

It looks like one of the cheaper frame tents that were sold by several companies including Headquarters & General Supplies.

Here is my first frame tent in the 70's at Keswick, when the site was run by the council before the C&CC took it over.

I still have my first tent. I put it up in the garden for the kids to play with when they get bored, it is just a small pup tent, classic orange and brown, not entirely sure how waterproof it is now!! It seemed huge when I was little. I remember sitting eating some mint creams in it that mum had helped me make after watching the girl off Blue Peter do them.
