Once tent is up I'm happy (must have been between 1-2 hours just doing the main tent)
Took the advice from someone who posted 'just count the time putting the tent up etc as part of the holiday, have a beer while you're doing it etc' so i do!!
don't like the taking it down so much though
That's a good healthy holiday attitude Val. We take our time over pitching/setting out, and adopt the same attitude when packing up - we keep stopping for a pot of tea or a mug of coffee. The kettle is the last thing to be packed away before the tent comes down
same here!
the last morning, i lie in bed having my morning coffee thinking through the packing up process, making a plan depending on the weather and mud situations!
firstly, i cook a good breakfast, then make a flask of coffee so we can have one once the packing is done. nothing worse than the company of a hungry man packing up a wet tent!
