Well, we braved the elements and had a fantastic few days on the North Norfolk coast in the Outwell - weather was mixed as to be expected at this time of year. Had an amazing hailstorm on Monday evening - huge hailstones were blown under the doors mudflap but we sorted that no problem! It was VERY cold though but the little Argos fan heater did us proud. We had plenty of layers under the airbed which was a brilliant tip from someone on here - worked a treat and I can honestly say we weren't cold at all in bed!

The site was lovely (Links at Mundesley) - I've left a review. There were only 4 tents so loads of room - the advantage of going at such a crazy time of year!  Even so, it became a bit of a mud bath after a few days but the footprint kept the innner tents clean.

We had some beautifully sunny days too and although it was dark very early, it gave me & Ben some quality time together without TV, Wii, Playstation, PC etc - we played cards and board games and it really was fantastic.

I'd do it again most definitely!

Oh, and the new kitchen tent worked brilliantly - so much easier to keep all the cooking stuff in one place.

Just sad now that I'm packing everything up till next year but I think we'll be starting the season early

I absolutely love camping in all weathers and love to hear that there's other mad people out there who camp in tents in the winter months too. We've been for the last 2 years for bonfire weekend (in our cosy coleman trispace !!) to a site in Yorkshire and loved every minute, a bit embarrassed as we were the only tent on the site but who gives a !!!! We love it BUT unfortunately this year I have been unable to get this weekend off so instead I'm taking next week off. Me and hubby need some quality time so has anyone any suggestions on a really nice romantic site(lakes, rivers, ducks, swans, moonlight and romance) and i am being serious. We do need some quality time and don't hit me with a weekend in Paris. Can't afford it! Any sites that anyone knows of that are nice that are not too far away from Sheffield, please let me know. Thank You

Just back this afternoon ourselves from a week nr Kirkcudbright.

Weather has been great - very cold Tuesday and a few light showers on Wed but yesterday and today were lovely sunny days. Great packing and cleaning day today - got it all done in perfect weather (wearing t-shirts!!)

No mobile phone signals where we were so made for a nice relaxing holiday - site was right on the beach too.

Glad you had a good time Ann
