Now, my mistake there is asking him first!!

If it wasn`t Christmas imminently I would go for it and argue with him later.I work hard for my wages

Even the kids have offered me their savings ( £200) only problem is its in OH bank account.

I`m going to write down what goes out this month and probably have a bid...then face the consequences...its not the idea he`s adverse to, he doesn`t like the dated look of the tent. I`v even tried the..."we could sell it on if you don`t like it after we`ve tried it", tack with no joy.

Men

That's exactly what mine was like - and the children. oldest daughter now asked if we could get a little one like Annes (fostermums Calais?) so she can have here own. It was the look of them they didn't like. They weren't 'trendy' enough for them. i kept on and on and on and with the help of some of the posts on here OH eventually agreed (though I did have to convince him it was all his idea in the first place). After he had read and re-read all of Rex, pigletandtigger, Merry and all the rest of the posters advice etc he felt he had a good idea of exactly what was what and why it was a good investment and the fact that should we need any help then he knew where he could turn.

It's funny because at the beg of July he was all for buying a Skandika off eBay till he googled for reviews and found UKCS - the rest is history.

On Monday we are off over 4 hours each way to pic up Rex's beautiful Andorra to give it a loving new home. I have even told him that if it's a nice dry day on the 25th then I'll be putting it up in the garden whilst he makes the dinner

I have promised to sell the Hartford but OH said he thinks we should keep it just in case (of what I don't know and just like all the other 'stuff' we keep).

What does he have lots of Jo? Tell him having tents is just like that and then promise not to buy more new shoes for the next 3 months and then it has paid for itself.

I can see you posting next week to tell us you are the proud owner of a lovely Cabanon

Okay I`ve had a bid, watch this space. Anyone who lives in Kent may be able to hear the argument when OH finds out!!

The Proaction has gone to a friend, we`ll still use the Vango for shorter breaks, and the teepee belongs to the girls.......

I am off to Wales Tuesday morning, staying just down the road from the tents current home......

Keely, did you say somewhere Rex had identified it?

Wish me luck

Yes, its just a question of education, education, education! If you learn more about a particular sort of tent, realise that that is the one that best meets your needs, then your idea of what is a good looking tent will change along with that.
