Does anyone know where I can find an Outwell Vermont that has been erected? I'm contemplating on buying one, but I'm a bit worried about the size of it, especially when we try pitching on French campsites.

Hi JJ , Try abc camping in Swansea. they have usually got a good indoor display, give them a ring to check first. They have a big shop next to Asda in Swansea Enterprise zone.
Word of warning though, don't buy it from them, although they have a good display their aftersales service record is apalling and has been the subject of many threads here.
There is also a camping shop in Cowbridge which i can't remeber the name of, may be worth googling and checking out. HTH
Have you tried GoOutdoors or Yeomans. They usually have a good tent display. Out Local GO had one setup last year.
Yeomans are particularly good for tent displays, but im not sure where your nearest one would be. Ours is Ambleside which is a little far for us to travel to never mind yourself.

Cool campers use Delta Pegs.
The happiest people aren't the ones who have everything they are the ones who make the most of everything they have
It's a good varied display in Ambleside though and they are very very helpfull - even if you don't buy your tent from them. Not sure that you will find many outside diplays at this time of year though,
Thanks for that, but it looks like Ambleside is the wrong side of the country for me, but I'll give Yeomans and GoCamping a ring. I just wanted to gauge the size of the tent as we wanted it to go camping in France. We had a Vango 800 last year that we sold because it was so big and was a bit tight on the French pitches. Granted, the Vermont is a big tent, but it appears to be a lot narrower than the Vango and I like the porch bit at the front which could be really useful. I'll keep digging and hopefully I'll find one to peruse.
Not sure how far you are prepared to travel, however Highbridge caravans normally has a vermont up, or Sanders Garden world. Both Just off the M5 at Burnham on sea.
They wont have any up yet, but worth calling them to find out when they get their tent displays up.
We have taken our Vermont L and had no problems in France. Our friends also had the same tent & pitched it right next to us. No probs bags of sapce for cars as well!!! There is a picture in the tent pics thread (p24)!!!

They are closed until March. I rang last week to check as we wanted to see the Minnesota 4 up before buying. No reply so tried main depot number and was advised of above.
On the offchance I rang Outdoor Megastore in Bootle and they had just put one up to fill a gap left by a different sold-out model and their price was good too so it might be an idea to look online and see if there are any camping stores within a reasonable driving distance and ring them up to ask.
Good luck!
