I’m posting here hoping somebody can help me find another secret beauty spot in the central areas of the UK i.e. any were in

Bedfordshire   ,Berkshire   ,Buckinghamshire   ,Derbyshire   ,Gloucestershire   ,Herefordshire

,Hertfordshire   ,Leicestershire   ,Middlesex   ,Northamptonshire  , Nottinghamshire   ,Oxfordshire

,Rutland   ,Shropshire   ,Staffordshire   ,Warwickshire   ,Worcestershire   ,

I have used the campsite search but many don’t include price details or website so it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack

Our family Camping /tent tradition of many years have all been  at eastnore castle deer park. This was fantastic for some good old fashioned no distractions no mod cons , proper camping.

Unfortunatly this has now  had to be  completely scraped this year .

We normally go to eastnore  aprox 3 times a year .

1 because its local to were live , in a emergency(bad weather) this can be very handy, but mostly because of its beauty and the total freedom it creates for everyone.

Our kids love it, the dogs  even show how excited they are once were are there, and also it caters for my love in fishing.

Eastnor  has it all and amazingly this all costs as little as £7 per night per family pitch , not per person , my whole family of 8 can enjoy a holiday for a week here for less than £70 , they don’t offer any facilities other than fresh water and areas to empty the toilet , but thats all we need , country air and space for the kids. the fishing is bonus

Anyhow back to my main reason for posting We have unfortunately received a letter informing us that eastnore will not be open at all this year due to the grounds being in disrepair after they hosted the Big Chill music festival during our wettest summer last year, removing all the staging and many other attractions that were on the 80 acres of land in the muddiest conditions ever has just unfortunately ruined the camping grounds, this has resulted in it being closed for 09 for repair.

Me and my family are now lost on where to find anything as good and especially in the same price band i.e. 7-10 per night for whole family not per person + pets in the central area of the UK, Please if anyone knows of any were we can consider please post below so I can at least in the future have a backup plan.

Why not have a look at the Camping club Certified camping sites. You'll need to join the club, but it will be worth it in the end.   These sites are usually a lot cheaper than the club sites, however some dont have toilets, showers etc.

Hi

Last year we spent a few nights at Stokes Barn campsite just outside Much Wenlock, it comes under Styche in the list of Shropshire campsites. It was lovely, a huge field with water and basic toilet/ washing facilities in a portacabin, what more could you want!!  I don't remember exactly how much it cost, but I do remember we commented how reasonable it was compared to some sites, so it would be worth giving them a ring. The surrounding area is great and the site is not that far from the town as the crow flies but you feel like you're out in the middle of now where.

Hope this helps and  you have luck finding somewhere!!
