Hi all - just wanted to get your opinions on this - I have a Vango Venture 500 which I believe is ensign/angel blue - I wanted to buy a large sun canopy for this but only seem able to find marine blue ones.  i presume this is down to the fact that they aren't supposed to be used with VV500 (and so never made them in VV colours?).

Would you buy a canopy that was slightly different in colour to your tent - do you think it would look silly/messy!?

Many thanks.

Hell yes!

I used to use an old blue tarp as a canopy, now I've splurged £20 on a new green one.

Advantage over gazebos, awnings, daytents etc. is that they don't attract attention from site owners looking to surcharge anything that moves. And they can be configured to cope with changing conditions. I use them with a load of old guys and upright poles I've saved from past tents.

For me camping shouldn't be colour coordinated - I much prefer to see a pitch that honestly portrays a collection of gear amassed over the years - whatever colour

I would buy it - doesn't matter about the colour at all.

I have a green and yellow cabanon but the annexe I bought is blue and grey!!! Needed it so will use it regardless.

What Hairywol said as well.

thanks everyone for your replies, you are right hairywol, camping isn't about have all the kit co-ordinated, so long as it does the job.  OK will now get and buy one - how exciting!!!!

Niki b, yes I have seen a couple on ebay that I may bid on and also some buy it now for good prices. Thanks.

It's nice to have everything matching but nobody much cares about what any unit looks like but their own. Blue + blue won't look too jarring anyway.
