It certainly would, together with the bits of burning debris...makes you realise it is not just the burning tent occupants who are in immediate danger. Also illustrates it might be worth checking up on your own insurance, eh?

I agree with what others on here have already said; once it was established there was no-one inside I wouldn't have risked getting too close. Just look at how fierce that fire is, and smoke inhalation wouldn't do you much good either. And what about the risk of exploding gas cannisters or bottles? Not worth risking life and limb for camping posessions.

I surprised there aren't more people around the guy, maybe one or two more with an extinguisher - I know I wouldve gone over and tried to offer support or something or to try and protect the tents on either side.  I wouldn't have gone in or put myself in obvious danger but I wouldn't have stood there filming thats for sure!!
