Hi All,

For anyone who lives in the midlands just to let you know the old Barratts of Feckenham store in Feckenham (in between redditch and Droitwich) is re-opening as a Winfields Megastore tomorrow, after Barratts went into Administration

Very excited! Might venture down tomorrow to see what bargains they may have, Will update the post if anything exciting is happening!

I have been told that Go Outdoors were planning on opening a store in Kendal this year but new openings have been put on hold!!!

Winfields is great we have one here in Hull (have been the last two weekends running lol) the instore prices are often better than those posted on the website.

I reckon this year will continue to see an increase in camping, as its a cheap holiday (ok it can get expensive but it can still be done relatively cheap) and less people will be going abroad this year. I did hear that bultins in skegness were taking on 300 extra staff to come with extra demand this year (dont know how true it is).

I have nothing but praise for Winfields.
Always found them to be competitive and they carry a wide product range including some big names.

Anything not in stock they offer to contact you when it is. (and they do)

Gazmister did you go to Winfields? We went this afternoon. Staff were still stocking the shelves and the tents won't be up until about March. Very friendly staff and I bought some nice girly walking shoes.

Hi All,

Sorry for the late reply

We went got my 1 year old a regatta fleece for £4 and OH as she is very small fitted into 15-16 year old regatta fleece for £5.

Was very impressed, much better than the old barratts store that was there, I really liked there selection of jackets etc and am needing a new winter coat so may go up and see what they have got when reducing the stuff at the end of winter,

Have a feeling the tent display will also be good,

Will definitely be going again as its only 10 minutes away, its like a small go outdoors!

I also like the fact they have kept all the picnic tables and area outside as you could go up in the summer and have a picnic!

We visit the Winfields in Haslingdon a 'lot'

even if it is an hours drive from Blackpool. That's where we bought everything when we first started camping 3 years ago and never come away empty handed! Like others have said we find they have a great range of stock at good prices. Not sure when their tent display goes up, probably some time soon, but they usually have about 50 tents out.

Just bought my montana 6 from Winfields in Hasligdon. Up on their website at £399.99 Asked if they would price match said they would and got it at £329.99.Would recommend them to anyone.Was told tent display would be up in a few weeks.well worth a visit to any branch.
