Thanks Angie,
In that case can anyone recommend a really powerful heater if we can only run one at a time?
Is it worth getting a gas heater to compliment the electric one? We have an 8 month year old baby so had to keep the heater running pretty much all the time.
Cheers,
Matt
As Rex says ( and Rex is a man who knows a thing or 2 ) , 2kw is as powerfull as you can go without tripping the EHU.
A gas heater is always a possibility but you obviously have to be extremely carefull with a little one around.
Gas lamps obviously also give out some heat so that may help but again, caution with the little one.
All I can suggest is that you try and keep the tent closed as much as possible when it is really cold and dress baby warmly (thin layers work much better than 1 or 2 thick ones).
A warm drink always helps too (no hot toddys for the baby lol)
It wont be long before the tiny person is big enough to not sit still long enough to get cold :)
Can I ask.. at night do you insulate under the airbeds and use blankets as well as sleeping bags? Makes a huge difference.
There must be threads on this site about keeping babies warm if you do a search or you could start a new thread entitled " Keeping babies warm in tents.. help" or something similar
Our baby is 14 and never cold so sorry to say I cant be of much help. Just suggestions that make sense to me but there are many people on here with babies who will be able to help you alot more
