Just back from a couple of nights in the New Forest, no hook-up so no heaters.
Plenty of woolen layers, try and avoid man made fabrics, do not get cold in the first place and wear your wooly hat in bed. It may not do much for your sex appeal but I slept a whole lot better the night I wore it than the one when I pooh poohed it
Hubby, myself and our 2 teens just had a weekend at Linwater near Edinburgh and although it was blowing a gale while we pitched 2 small tents, it wasn't cold at night. We have no electric but always wear a hat. We do look hilarious and it's a great ice breaker when we merge in the morning. We have these silver sheets, like foil under our bed rolls and cheapo sleeping bags. and of course we do wrap up with socks and a pully for shoulders that might sneak out in the night. We did have a great time but will be getting electric because we just couldn't boil the water for a brew in the gales!
