only kidding that looks fine, its surprising what a little hot water can do. val try not to screw it on especially if you are taking it off regularly, as this will only wear the hose and eventually give you a weak joint. just lots of hot water, a little (very little) washing liquid and a good push. if you want to check seal just put a little washing liquid on tip of your finger and wipe around the seal, turn the gas on at the bottle and off at the appliance to get it pressurised and check for bubbling at the seal.

Usually I put a hose on once, add a jubilee clip and that's it till the hose needs replaced. The one place I do have to take the hose on and off is under the TT kitchen and that's in such an awkward bugger of a place that you'll do practically anything to get it on...and of course, no hot water availible till it IS on!

I do check all the hoses regularly though. And use jubillee clips.

Thats my intention as well, keep the tube attached until it needs replacing.

Also going to keep the regulator attached at the other end and screw the bottle to that rather than the other way round if that makes sense!

val, have you thought about fitting a female bayonet fitting to the kitchen, then a male to your hose. then it would be a simple case of plugging and unplugging like a light bulb.
