The tent shouldnt need reproofing. But to check if it does, the best thing is to pitch it in the garden and attack it with a hosepipe :)
If it doesnt leak then it is fine.
If it does leak a little through the seams then a bottle of seam sealer will do the trick. Put it on while the tent is pitched and dry and leave it to dry for 24 hours.
There is a list of camping gear somewhere on this site but as I am having a "who the hell am I day", I have no clue where it is :)
Basically you need something to sleep on.
Sleeping bags or duvets
Pillows
Picnic rugs, survival blankets or something similar to go under the airbeds
Lamps/torches
Coolbox
Table and chairs
Something to put on the floor is good. Either a tent carpet or cheap picnic rugs work just as well
Something to cook on (dont forget the gas)
pots and pans
plates, cutlery, mugs etc
washing up bowl (dont forget the sponge and washing up liquid as I often do lol)
Tea towels (also easily forgotten)
First aid kit
Tent repair kit (dont take one and that will be the time it is needed )
And the thing you must NEVER forget... corkscrew :)
Alot of this stuff can be taken from home so the list is not as daunting as it sounds
Cant think of anything else at the moment but i bet there is more :)
