Lol - only joking. The fridge is one of those that takes about 8 cans of coke/beer etc. We used it for maybe a bottle of white wine, a tub of butter, bacon/sausages etc., and thats it about full. It runs off either 240v or 12v (but youd need to get your own 12v adaptor), we just had it pugged into the EHU all the time. It dont use any leccy to mean owt.
Looking at the ones on ebay, the p+p is going to be towards a tenner.
Our small fridge takes a few cans of drink, ham and a small bottle of milk thats all and will not keep these cool if it gets over 25c outside but that's not likely to happen in the UK summer!
I have to say this one 'performed' regardless of outside temps, and isnt noisy at all. It sounds like yours is maybe on its way out, with the noise and struggling to cope?
We bought a new one & ours is extremely noisy - a loud hum. Tested it at home in the lounge which is at one end of the house, we tried to sleep in the bedroom, upstairs at the other end of the house, and had to go down to turn the thing off. Hence we've never bothered to take it camping, we've gone back to the coolbox for 2 night stays & the 3-way for longer stays.
They dont make 'em lke they used to! I bought a heater last week, that rattled and vibrated around the room so much - so i sent it back.
Ironicaly, while at my uncles, i noticed an old heater on a shelf he'd had for years. I brought it home, and you wouldnt know the thing was on apart from the warm air coming out of it!
