Completely Amie13 :) and valk scot with the *there's not a clear line*. I'm sure there's many of us who have collected a versatile set up over the years, and use bits depending on the trip.
I'm in the process of getting lightweight backpacking equipment, I have the 1 lady tent ((which one??)) and thermarest womens prolite outstanding on my list. As an aside, this lightweight basics thing is more expensive .
Anyway .. when I do get the tent I will test it out on a car camping trip first. I have an unshakable desire to do the Sheik of the Desert look with a MSR / Terra Nova type tent. Little tiny tent, tiny gas burner.
Outside a plush picnic rug, featuring a blow up armchair, faux fur pnk throw , pink lantern suspended on a pole & hook, wine glass holder and a bottle of chilled cava (couldn't afford the champagne after the tent purchase). Where I'll be found I'll be found eating my wayfayre veg curry out of the bag, with my titanium fold up spoon,
Can't wait
If I drink too much, no worries, I can now sheewee out of the tent flaps. (I wouldn't do that, of couse)
