OH has forbidden me from buying the kids room. But I just wondered what those who have one think. Would my 5 year old love it? Is it really worth the £60 that it is curently selling for? If I wait until the end of the season will I get one cheaper? How do I convince OH that we should buy one? I know that at 5 I would have loved it, OH says that camping is fun enough no need to spend more
Just bought one - not used it yet - seems to get good reviews from those who have it - place in Chester selling them half price - mine is for Monty 6 and cost £31.95 inc p&p - can't remember the name of the shop though - there is a post on here somewhere, thats where I found out
Hi, we bought one for our nearly 4 yr old as when we were looking at tents, room was inside...he can't understand why our tent didn't have one. Not used yet but he is very excited about it. Got mine off ebay new for about £30 (hartford xl)

Does anybody have one of these in a Bear Lake? Or Montana I guess - any Outwell with the bedrooms that have a door between them...
Does the kids room still have an entrance into the other bedroom pod? Or is there just the one door?
Cheers,
ADL
Yes, we got a kids room for the outwell sunvalley 6 and there is the front door and also a door at the side so you can still go through to the other bedroom through the side rather than going out and then back into the other room.

Our kids love the Kids Room. They saw them at the displays so we made sure we got one when we bought our tent, but it was part of the deal.
It's not essential though, and £60 is a lot of money. I'm sure your child will love camping even without it - what he/she doesn't know he/she won't miss.
To convince other half - when you go camping find another Outwell tent with one and get your child to go play with them, then if he enthuses about it afterwards you'll have more ammo.
------------- Definately a fair weather camper. I don't like rain. Rain + Tent = Trouble.

Dont get how they fit, do you have to take out one of the bedroom inners and zip that one into it? or does it fit inside some how? Are they universal and fit any outwell tent? (ours is sunvalley 6 with 2 bedrooms)

We got the kids room for the oregon 5 and as cool as it is (i love it let alone kids) I dont think we will use it. The oregon 5 has 2 bedrooms across the back. We tend to unzip and open up the rooms at times hence join the rooms together. The kids room zips in the place of one of the rooms and is a sealed unit in itself but does not actually zip onto the adult room, so they are not a sealed unit together, they just hang next to each other and you roll up the half of the adult room you are not using. This means access between the two rooms also allows access for beasties, mud, grass etc Not sure if this is the same for the others mentioned. Maybe we will keep it til my little one is a bit older and wants a separate room without access to ours.
