i am looking to buy a 24l  elec cool box, so many of them around, need it for may half term and last for many years, have seen the wilko elec cool box, it doesn't mention if it can run of a ac/dc adaptor? this is where i am coming up stuck, do all elec cool boxes take a ac/dc adaptor?? is this a special one for the cool box or will a ordinary household ac/dc adaptor work just as well, have many of them hanging around the house.

 dont think an inverter will be much use, most coolboxes run off 12v via a transformer if required to run off 240v.

an inverter changes 12v to 240v,

bit pointless transforming up to 240v then back to 12v.
