hi

Im a newbie as I just bought my first tent today,Im determined to give my kids a holiday despite the crunch.

6 berth sunncamp omega and i stupidly thought it would go up in minutes. My unenthusiastic 17 yr old and i kind of got it up but it wasnt pretty

as there are no instructions im really begging for some pointers

Theres a strip of webbing that forms a square and looks like the outlineline of the centre section but its about a foot off the floor,do I peg this down first (I didnt)

on each corner of this square is a metal hoop  attatched to more strip webbing and there are 3 small metal pegs in the hoop, what are they for?

im confused it just looks rubbish do the poles go through something or do you just guess where to stick them in the ground  arrggghh

Ok i think that will do for now more questions later im sure

Thanks in advance,Sally

Hi Sally and welcome. I think your talking about a ring and pin system. I will try and google it for you.

   Ring and Pin System

  1. Locate one end of each pole onto the corresponding metal pin. The metal pin inserts into the hollow metal ferrule on the end of each pole. (See Figure 1). Push the pole into a curve from the opposite side, one at a time, and locate all pole ends onto the metal pins.
  2. Peg the corners of the tent through the metal rings using pin-pegs. It is important to drive the peg into the ground at a 45 degree angle to obtain the best grip. (See Figure 2).

There are no pics but does it make any sense to you?

wondering if theres a best order of erecting it just to make it easy as poss, only my sons attention span is around 15 mins after that hes useless and Im on my own
