It don't matter, it's only weather.. 29mph winds too but our tent will stand and laugh at the wind like it always does !
Yeah, but you have your tent, whereas mine is stuck on a broken down delivery van somewhere in Scotland.......
(not having a dig at you by the way - just venting!!)
You should have called in a favour Mike and had the van impounded UNTIL YOU GOT THERE! (i've been watching to much telly again haven't I!!!)
I had my car in Edinburgh today - If they'd been willing to give me the location of the delivery van breakdown I'd have happily gone and got it from them myself!! Oh well, a weekend of wine and beer awaits, and the campsite we were booked into have been very good about it and have booked us in for the next weekend instead
I reckon you will get calmer weather for your trip next weekend Mike, too bad about the tent bud, but I'm sure it will be worth waiting for. Maybe lashing winds are not the best elements to tussle with when trying out a new tent.

Just had a phone call from a mate and he is off to Bristol in the morning and guess what ? I`m going as well.... Yippeee, rushing around packing at the mo, a quick look at the weather and oh, no need, just remembered he`s got a Tin Tent, lucky me or what ?
First time out this year with van going to Southport Pleasureland rally with CCC northwest area Motor caravan section tomorrow Saturday, hope it's still on.
