Camping season has begun, and unfortunately due to work commitments we couldn't be out there. What has added to our misery is that we sent camping virgins out on their first trip with an old tent of ours.
So to perk our selves up a bit we spent the whole of yesterday hauling the kids round to three outdoor tent shops on the ruse that we wanted to look for a weekend tent (Cabannon barbados / sunncamp Prism 8), we didn't see one but at least we got to smell canvas and spend some time in it. SAD!, or are we?
My OH is cringing as I type this.

I have been off visiting a friend this weekend. We went for a walk which just happened to be go through and past a couple of campsites. Having slowed to a virtual stop we then both meandered along looking at all tents and discussing pros and cons etc of each.
I saw one I really liked but couldn't see the name from the path so we even had a wander off path to look closer.
At least your tents were in a showroom and you're permitted to go and stand an gawp, we jusy did that in a field!!!!

Reminds of Somerset a couple of years ago, when I saw my first Rapido Folding Caravan. I kept looking at it because I couldn't work out how yopu would tow it (I didn't realise it folded down I got caught staring at it by the owner and I don't think he liked the attention.

I have, but because of the weather (and us not having EHU or heating) it's making it a little easier
We went and had a look at Yeomans in Rutland on Friday, so we have been in a tent this easter break (technically) Good job we went on Friday and not yesterday as the garden centre Yeomans is based at is right next to the prison that's rioting
------------- Mookey
Camping Newbie
Vango Killington 400 for week-long camping
Outwell Oakland L for Weekends
North Face Tree Frog 24 for OH's backpacking
Haven't even been out for a walk and no campsite in this area so the closest I've got was with the torch last night under the sheets, a grilled dinner today and I did consider getting the melamine plates out (as its Easter, special occassion etc) and I'll treat everyone to baked beans for tea. Thankfully you lot are all on line and keeping me sane. Happy Easter everyone - who's been sick on chocolate yet ?
My sister and her other half are over for Easter - so this evening we put the folding camper up to show them what it was like. It was lovely just sitting in it for about 20 minutes. Now I am depressed, because we can't get away for a few weeks yet.
