We have a Electrolux 3 way fridge. Which we have used in a Cabanon tent on gas and electric. We have also taken it on days out in the car. We find it a very usefull thing to have.I always put it back in its box so as the back does not get damaged.Hoses ect. It only gets connected at the destination.
Glad it was only the tent that suffered. It's been a weekend of bad gas stories, but thankfully everyone is still with us tell the tale. I only wrote about our holiday last August when we had a few minor mishaps, see topic "Have you experienced worse", I only wrote it for fun. Saying that, I'm glad I did, as its certainly raised a few safety points for members to think about and past on to fellow campers. Read Dave's reply, and see topic "Using Gas safely in SIG tents". So glad we are all here for one another.
What a horrible experience, as you said at least you and the dogs were safe, that is the most important thing, this story has proven I was right about getting a porch for our ten tto do the cooking in, we decided to go a different route with regard to keeping the food cold and have gone for an Igloo ice box, rather than a gas fridge.
I really hope you and your dogs recover from your trauma quickly and have a nice quiet day.
Niki
