Hi, another camping newbie.

We have recently joined the world of Camping and are now looking for a trailer.

Have just purchased an Outwell Hartford XL tent and accessories, and on our first camping trip away fast run out of space in the car and roof box.

Can anybody recommend any good trailers to look at, and appropriate accessories.

As we were leaving we our campsite the other day we noticed a trailer with bike racks on, which is something we would like to do as well.  I presume something like this would be universal, but it was a drive by and could not stop to look more closely.  Did not even notice if the cover was material or rigid.

Please, any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance

We've been looking for a trailer too for all our gubbins aswell as fitting OH's quad bike on!

Depending on your price range, Erde or Caddy trailers seem popular - we are looking into the Caddy range atm as they seem to fit all our requirements.

A word of warning though, which I'm sure you know, it is just more added expense to what is supposed to be a cheaper way of going on holiday

Hi Wilks, i know exactly what you mean.  I have been scouring the world of ebay and have found endless erde and one or two caddy's.  I am hoping to keep the cost down by buying one from there if I find the right one at the right price !

Keep your eyes open on sites like preloved and Gumtree.

We picked up a 4 x 3 foot wooden trailer a few weeks back for £80. I will say it needs some work. We had to replace the base wood (cost £23) and it needs a paint but its alot deeper than a new metal trailer and it had a wooden padlocked top with it.

I reckon to get it looking tip top is only gonna be another £30 or so so still a bargain compared to buying new
