We had a wonderful time everyone, thanks for all your great advice (re: total newbie advice wanted). I'll try and keep this as short as I can so as not to gush too much.

We didn't have the EHU in the end but apart from one or two cold evenings, we were absolutely fine. We soon mastered the art of layering up!!

Setting up the tent without a practise run did work out in the end. It took an awfully long time though. The funny thing was, we were at it for ages OH and I (I agree with the lets have a fight post, lol) then this two kind gentlemen turned up and 20 minutes later the zenith was up. Bless them.

My first reaction was embarassment as the tent was quite big, but I soon got over that when I realised how much storage space I had for all those things that come with 2 little girls!!!

OH was initially not convinced but by the end of the trip he was LISTING all the things he would remember to take next time and by the time we got home, there was talk of going back to the campsite. The girls loved it and did not want to come home and I particularly loved the idea of being on holiday but still being in my own space.

Thanks again for all your great advice, I'm off back to my list and more importantly to look for the next site to visit, hook line and sinker anyone???
