That is a coincidence, You dont happen to have a list of campsites you have been do you that accepted your tent? Also how many of you sleep in your tent?

Quick question if i may Cliff of Pat Where was the middle pic on your gallery taken please? looks crackin!
Cheers
It was here, I did a review once but it never appeared. I believe he has down sized now but it had an ammenities block & about 6-8 EHU, caravan & boat storage with a ramp straight down onto the beach about 300-400yds short of Trefor pier. Next to the main Caernarvon Pwllheli rd but really quiet at night. The Welsh language school is just over those hills called The Rivals, it has a STUNNING approach but you need a head for heights & good brakes.
We have hartford xl with front porch extension. We've found a couple of sites that won't accept our tent but that's if we want ehu. Without ehu they said it would be ok. We do always tell the site the size of the tent when I ring and book.
In august we're staying at Park Cliffe near Windermere. It isn't the cheapest of sites but it's got everything we want there. Last year we stayed at Knight Stainforth in yorkshire which had good size pitches.
there are sites that accept larger tents with ehu - we are off to gwythian farm in may and they have pitches 12m by 12m and very reasonable at £12 a night

We have the xl for 3 of us one pod for the OH and I one for our daughter and one for all our gear! The outwell site says it sleeps 8 but I would say 6 unless you want to get cosy.We got a tent this size so we could take some friends as well plus we liked the layout and the fact thet the bedrooms were not right net to one another.
Not had a problem with any sites as we tell them the size and we don't want EHU

We have got the Hartford XXL with the porch (same as yours I think). We have not had any problems getting on sites & have so far used it at Wolds Way (Yorks), Cotswold View, & Grange Farm (IOW). Also went to Rose Farm (nr Gt Yarmouth) & wouldn't have had a problem (we just hadn't got it at that time). I know none of these are in the areas you are looking at but might be useful info for future trips!
i say tent is 8m by 7m and explain the dimensions are for a dome tent with 3 pods. They usually understand and its better explaining than trying to squeeze the equivalent of a artic in a space equivalent to postage stamp. Saves mucho grief.
Usually if you get a 10m x 10m pitch you will be fine (pitching at a slight angle to allow for guys). Anything smaller you will struggle.

There are four of us 2 adults, 2 kids 13&4 (so have bedroom each) and 2 dogs (one large one small) I agree that although says sleeps 8 it would be very cosy! The site in Ashbourne was Callow Top but no ehu and we went to Thorntons Holt(Notts) for eatser and we had ehu there. It was the c&cc sites which wouldn't take us and Plassey and one in Allport Lakes but can't remember name. I have forgotton the other ones. I tend to put the sites I fancy into my vitual brochure and then comment if there is a prob with pitch size so I know I can go with other tent. Hope this helps. It might be that sometimes you will be ok with tent but not able to pitch porch??

John i take it that aint including the porch?
don't declare the porch as its one of those things when its up no one will say anything , but most sites you should be fine pitching that as well. if i am honest a utility tent would be my preference to pitch than a porch. But should be able to pitch both.
