Just got some Intex Inflatable Pillows at Asda for 51 pence each! They are blue and are flock on one side. They look ok and should free up some space in the car!

Not sure what they are like, but at that price well worth a try me thinks!

Thought I would share in case anyone is interested.

Tesco's also had their value ones reduced, i got mine for 50p each. I wasn't sure they'd be any good but figured at only £2.50 (for the five of us), then it wasn't going to break the bank.
They seem to be ok with a thin pillow on top, and as we normally have two pillows each we'll be saving the room of 5 pillows in the car.

We got some inflatable ones with covers. The covers are padded so they are really comfortable.

You could make your own easily.

It is like an envelope and closes with 3 little velcro bits

Now, I (and the rest of the family) hate the things. I'd rather sleep without one than use those horrid things

We bought some and have never used them since - in fact I'm sure we left two behind once (on purpose). We got a couple of those Outwell stuff sack pillows too (in with a lot when we bought a tent) and they are just as awful.

We have taken to buying pillows when we get there (usually only about £4 for 4 in bargain shops) and then leaving them behind or if we take some better ones from home then the go behind the children to make them more comfortable whilst piled high with the rest of the 'stuff' and are then left behind as it's usually time to buy new pillows anyway.

I cannot live without my memeory foam orthopaedic pillow. I even take it when we go and stay with friends, in houses, with proper beds in.

I wanted Mr Fran to bring mine into hospital for me, but they had some infection control rule against this practice!

Ah well I thought that if we don't end up using them (more than once) then the girls can have them as cushions in their playhouse in the garden.

we bought these but we didn't like them, nothing beats the comfort of your own pillow regardless of how much space it takes up.

Ihave to take my pillows with me dont like the inflatable ones i even take my quilt because i cant sleep in a sleeping bag, feel trapped in them.

I could sleep on the tent floor with no pillow... just love sleeping in a tent  :)
