Anyone got the Single or double Coleman raised airbed..If so are they as good as stated..And would they fit in the Hartford XL Pods..

We have a queen size they are fab so comfortable, they do fit in the pods but it is a tight fit you need to leave the bedroom door open but thats no problem for us as there is only 2 of us and we prefer it that way, if we have had visitors we just ask them if they will zip there door up no problem.

Just noticed you have the new version ours is the model before that, even though the measurments (i think) say the pods are bigger when we have looked at them they seem smaller.

Can anyone tell me what the best way is to pump the airbed. What I mean is.. should I put in enough air so it's quite firm or leave it not quite full. We got one the other day and have had a practise on the living room floor but as they are a lovely size they also bulge out quite a bit.

Our friends have the Vango double height airbed and on first use last week went down on the first night..

We've been using the Raised Quickbed Queen for a few years and they are fantastic. I like the height and they are very comfortable. Compared to sleeping in my normal bed, I do find that I need to use an extra pillow.

Reliability-wise however we've not done so well. However, I'm quite prepared to take responsibility for treating them with a lack of common sense at times!
Inflate them until they are firm and almost flat on top. If you inflate until they bulge on top you will stretch the internal top-to-bottom straps - we had one of these tear away leaving a big rip in the bottom, not repairable. Almost without exception, we have to give it a tiny top up a few hours before bedtime.
Don't leave them fully inflated inside a tent on a hot day. they will expand and this stretches and weakens the vinyl leading to a series of random pinhole punctures.
Be careful withdrawing airstop/filler hole, we've ripped a few of these (unrepairable). We gently remove the bung then insert the pump nozzle. Then, while gripping around the pump nozzle, carefully pull back the airstop evenly.

Oh, and the dog has clawed them a good few times too!

Space/money permitting I'd suggest carrying a spare if you can. We do and it has saved us a few times, if only so we can find/repair the problem the next day at our leisure.

i bought a areobed double hight 2 months ago.i pumped it up and put in my sparebedroom and it is still up.its more comfortble than my normal bed.i cant reccomend it enough they are expensive but worth every penny.they are the equivalent to the outwell tents for quality. olso you cant over inflate them.

I can concur with rsp2, aerobed wins every time.

We have two different colmans double height beds . Both lose air daily.
