Just seen the report on the BBC News about the Summer weather, looks like it could be very hot !! Saying that there may still be some heavy rain but not as much as last year ! Hopfully we can start re-living our summers of out childhood - well camping when I was a kid was always long days on the beach in Cornwall because the weather was so hot
Better get my campsite booked for August in Swanage.
Experience of Michael Fish's forcast from the past (NO Hurricane) tells me that it doesnt matter what they forecast. Expect wind and rain and anything better is a bonus.
Oh don't - if you said it would rain all Summer I wouldn't believe you but if someone even hints at a long hot Summer I'll be dragging the bbq (the new tripod) out of the garage & trying on all my Summer dresses - once I've got the cobwebs off them!
Im there already outside my tent bbq going, ice cold glass of white wine reclining on my lounger!!! Can I book some of that sun for my week in Cornwall please!
Fiona, you just remined me about my youngest. I bought a couple of disposable bbq's to use when not taking 'proper one', he saw them and asked if we could have a bbq that night....Tues, don't know what it was like near you but garden was flooded and even dogs didn't want to go out!
I live in hope. Just bought four more beach towels today, as I am hoping to spend most of the two weeks we have booked to go away on the beach, swimming in the sea, and using the canoe. Coming back to site, to chil out with a BBQ, and jsut sitting outside enjoying the evening sunshine.

Its been dreadful here but I keep saying that I can take all the rain now as long as its sunny & warm when it counts - er this weekend would be a good start!
