Hi folks, It looks like I may be getting a Montanna 6 and I am looking forward in getting away with the family in something different.
My question is that I have been informed that the front extension will fit the 2005 model as the only changes over the years were the side door porch widening out.
I have looked at other 2005 models on the net and do not see any extensions attached.
I have googled it and found this website

it say's that they can only fit the 06/07/08/and 09 models!!
Do any fellow UKCS members have the 2005 model and have the extension with it..

Just phoned Yeomans who sent me dimensions for the 05 model and these are exactly the same as later versions.
The chap said the extension should fit as there have been no dimension changes since it came out...
so that's reassuring.

We have the 2006 model of the Monty 6 and have the 2007 front extension for it. It fits fine. Don't know if this info will help but the measurements on ours seem the same as this years models.

yeah that's what the chap at yeomans said, nothings changed regarding dimensions. It's just that models from 06 have the wide side door and this seems to be where the end of the extensions sits and because extensions "apparantly" weren't available in 05 I wonder if this would have an impact on the 05 tent.

I should imagine it would still fit as the extension fits onto the first vertical pole from the front and then hooks onto the second pole back just at the top and doesn't affect the side door at all.

The front extension was only made in 2007 and even then, as I understood it, only a few were made just to see how they sold. We were lucky enough to get one when everyone else was sold out. As it was such a success the year after they made them for other models too.
If I were you I'd give it a go, you won't regret it! They have 101 uses, wouldn't use our Monty without it now!!

Thanks Chaddys it's good to know that the side door has no inpact on the extension.
Looking at the dimensions for the 05 they are exactly the same apart from the extra 115 going out at the porch.

Not sure if this will help you, but you can see where the front extension connects to the 2007 model.

We've never had any problems with pitch sizes with it. We've just got a caravan and miss the room the Monty 6 and extension gives!

I am now the proud owner of the Montana 6. I drove miles to collect the tent and every mile was worth it.
I couldn't wait to get home andput it up to see what it was like.
To say I am happy is an understatement, I am bloody delighted
