We have a Vango Diablo 600 and find it too big and difficult to put up just for the weekend.  Does anyone have any suggestions for a cheap weekender, that's easy to pitch and has enough room for 2 adults, 2 kids and a small dog?  We have been looking at the Aztec Galeria and the Gelert Lokon Vario.

Thanks,

Top Masher

Hi we have the Diablo 600 and had the same problem with putting it up just for weekends and decided to buy a Vango Tamor which is brilliant.  Just back from 3 nights camping in Wales and it only took about 20 mins to erect and would highly recommend.

Thanks for that.  We've seen the Vango Tigris in the great outdoors today, this looks to be easy to put up and also quite roomy...Theres just too much choice.....

We sold our Diablo 600 for this exact reason. As most of our camping trips are 2/3 nights at the weekend and putting this tent up (and down) was just so much hassle!!!

We looked at the Vango Orchy and the Outwell Nevada M... Ended up going for the Nevada, dead easy to put up and take down - the ideal weekend tent for a couple (soon to be with baby) IMHO

Hi,

We also have the Diablo 600 and had the same issue so now we also have a Outwell Nevada M for weekends and sites that don't accept large tents.  Our Nevada fits 2 adults 2 kids and a large dog without any problems.

I never thought that when we had ours, we could get ours pitched and tied down in 45 mins. And packed away in about an hour.

We have a Sunncamp two bedroom  tent that is supposed to sleep four but in reality its only good for two so we have a pup tent for one of the brats, and when camping for a couple of days this is our setup.

Works well for us and  and could be a possible solution for yourselves.

Thanks for your suggestions.  We have now bought a Vango Tigris 800.  We chose this because it looks relatively easy to put up and should be big enough when we go for a week, so looks like we'll be selling the Diablo......I'll let you know how we get on, hoping to get away at the end of the month.

Phil.
