Another post on this!

I always bbq-cook outside - but mostly have the stove for boiling water/rice/veg and the like inside (porch) on the kitchen stand (which has other stuff on too!).  But I know I should take it outside - so going to get a windbreak to make a kitchen-y area. (I fancy the kyham one with the covered bit)  But my question is what do people stand the cooker on (either our 2 ring gas one - or suitcase ones) - as I don't fancy taking out the kitchen stand each time?

I bought a small low table from somewhere for about £10 and I put my gas cooker on that (its about the same size)....it lifts it enough of the ground and I can sit on  chair and cook (and drink etc)

This one at outdoor megastore is like min and is £12.99 - it packs flat so easy to fit into car !

As we were trying to economise when I first went back to camping I used stuff that we had round the house so my cooker stand is one of those platforms you use for decorating.  It is very sturdy and is able to take two suitcase stoves next to each other.  I saw some on sale in focus for about £15 pounds.  I then put a waterproof barbeque cover over the top to keep everything dry when not in use (you can tell I was camping last summer),

I keep the saucepans in a plastic box under the cooker.

My windbreak with cover has just arrived along with my sunncamp cooker so I have just had it set up in the garden!

Its like this but I got mine off e bay for a lot less. You can seperate the shelves and use each individually I am very impressed.   Like having 3 little tables !                                                

As for my wind break with canopy (I think its the KYHAM one re branded) as some Kyham labeled exentions were with the poles. Got that of ebay too! Love it.. perfect if your 5 ft 1 and a 1/2 (very important) tall like me I dont need to stoop ...but if your tall you could sit and cook lol!

Hi ange, I don't understand , Why wouldn't you just leave the cooker stand outside the whole time ? If you are making a kitchen area, surely you'd want your pots and pans etc handy , under the stove where you can reach them.

We use a tarp over the cooking area
