Well, I did my practice pack today and I am mightily impressed with just what you can get in these old Mondeos. I manged to get in more than I hoped. Here is a list of what was in the car.

• 3 tents - as described above
• Kamping khazi
• double burner stove
• single burner stove

• 9 chairs
• 1 stool
• 3 double airbeds
• 1 single air bed
• 5 li-lo's
• 2 tables
• blue cat heater

• windbreak
• plastic box containing - pans, plates, cutlery, cups, pegs, small gas cannisters, frying pan, and other bits
• 4 sleeping bags
• Assorted blankets
• 12V cool box
• BBQ

And there was still room for my 3 passengers and a couple of ruck sacks. Might even manage to sit on a couple of pillows!!

We have packed a suitcase with 6 sleeping bags to go back on the train and everyone on the train is carrying their own clothes.

I was gutted when I had to unpack!! At least I know we will be ok next week. Thanks for all your help

tol you you should be ok - your right you can get loads in the mrk 2 mondeos!  Mind you now i have zafira, roofbox and trailer looks like i need more equipment now....

i think the roofbox and the trailer will be packed, but think the car will be empty!  and if i am getting another roofbox when back then i am laughing!

I'd make one of them carry the Khazi on the train!
