That sounds a fabulous place Clare, it reminded me of the Enid Blyton camping stories .
It is a wonderful place, hard work camping wise cos should you decide to wash up then the only hot water you have has to be boiled on the stove, want a shower - then fill the solar showers from the stream and wait all day for them to warm up, real back to basics and that takes time but is all part of the fun imho. The kids in the group always end up filthy dirty and wet through - so water proofs for the mini folk are a must and dont forget the wellies!
Ive been going there for years for proper camping adventures. No need to book just turn up and enjoy yourself.
You lot have had enough clues in my posts to work out where it is yourselves - ive risked it becoming too popular already but for people in real need ill provide directions/ satnav coordinates via pm!
