Hi all
I'm very close to buying a Kyham Winnipeg. I've been searching for weeks now and keep changing my mind. I'm ordering online and this one has made it to my basket and I'm hovvering over 'BUY'.
What else will I realistically need for 2 days camping for 2 complete novices? We have an airbed. So I'm thinking sleeping bags (and maybe my duvet and pillows from home), camping chairs and kettle (plus mugs, milk and t-bags). Planning to eat out. Think the husband would bulk at splashing out on everything in case we never use it again - so bare minimum until I've convinced him it's fun. Am I missing something glaringly obvious?

hi QPR and welcome . you didn't mention a stove ? you can get a suitcase type for a tenner and gas cannister for £1.50, you MUST have bacon sarnies for breakfast lol
Start by taking 2 duvets , one under you and one over you, a hot water bottle and some fleecy blankets, then if you decide you love camping get some decent sleeping bags for next time.

Cool, thanks. Will have a look for one. I would have been jealous smelling bacon around the campsite without having my own!
I forgot to mention wine too but that's a given.
Is it really that simple? There's nothing else that's essential?

Ooh, lighting! Good one. I don't have windbreak (would i put it up around the front of the tent?) but I do have rugs. And a corkscrew lol.
Thanks all, really appreciate your help. What do you think of the tent choice? I haven't bought it yet.

ufo light, under a fiver , takes AA batteries long lasting and very bright led light. Sold in wilkinsons, asda , morrisons, and sometimes poundland have them . they are in the electrial section usualy, not the camping section.
personally i think the vis a vis style of the winnipeg is a bit of a waste for 2 people. the bedrooms are quite sloped too, so the person on the outer edge would have the tent roof near their head.
You could remove one bedroom , but wouldn't gain all that much extra living space , due to the slope, and may be a bit dark inside, doesn't show the window, but looks as if there may only be one in the door.
Have you looked something like the vango icarus, more upright sides, big bedroom for a double bed,and room for clothes storage in the bedroom and a good size living area.
this is only my opinion, based purely on the picture of the tent, I haven't actually seen it for real.

The gas stoves that Beefys mum was talking about are currently on sale in Poundstretchers for 9.99. The UFO lights are good value too.

Thanks again all. Will be paying a visit to poundstretcher.
I think I was getting ahead of myself with the vis a vis bedrooms. Was thinking about inviting friends along and not wanting to sleep in the same room as them. Lol. Will check out the Vango.
