I brought 1 of these last year (last years model)and they are really good some new features on this years model like window sucker all for £64.99,i know its not everyones cup of tea to take tv's and dvds camping but for those who can't do with missing fav tv shows it easy to set up and i use my own sky+ box and it works.http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/58_9800.htmMini Digital Satellite System

very good i thought about it but think well lets get away from the tv but thanks for the info! i think tow sure have a similar offer!

Thanks v much for that, I'm sending OH in there tomorrow to see if we can pick one up for our trip next week, we have a 10 and 6 year old and they can get up in the morning and watch a bit of tv and give us a bit of a lay in!!  I know its not everyone's cup of tea xx   Will let you know if I manage to get hold of one.....

i think they were saying on the equipment section that this is useless at picking up astra satellites.  so pretty useless for uk users.

It's still got to be a pain to carry around and set up.

Once the analogue TV service is finally killed off (far too late IMO) the digital signal will be able to be far far stronger and should be good enough to be picked up on a small aerial stick antenna and the boxes are already tiny.

Hiya John, like i said earlier i have got one of these all but last years model and i use my sky+ box and viewing card and it does work and it has got everything you need with it even a free view sat digibox thou i don't use it i prefer my sky+ box it is easy finding the astra sattelite with the sat finder that you get with it,thou you may find problems if you are surrounded by trees or buildings the more open space you got the better.
