We always take one of our collection of small BBQs, Sat night is always al fresco, weather permitting!

As per hels189, at camping&genral in canvey island.. but Netto ar selling them and I have seen them online as well...can't remember the brand...just google v-shape or fold flat bbq..

Oooh I forgot all about the gas barbecue. I bought one last year, not a portable one , but as I'll be going in a transit van , I suppose I could take it with me when we go for longer than a weekend.

No we don't normally bother, probably becuase we hardly ever use it. Just our two burner Coleman petrol stove. Ands I hate those disposable ones - a quick burst of heat which birns the food as it's too close, and then it's all over. Though occasioanlly we do if the kids remember to ask us.

1. We are veggie, there is not a lot of decent just throw on the BBQ veggie stuff really (so ready made sausages, burgers etc. are ok, that's about it. Might want to have them once a week)) compared to various meat options. More yummy veggie stuff needs a bit more prep.

2. When we camp, my wife normally cooks (at home the other way round as she works FT - and if if she cooks she doesn't ahve to wash up ...:-) ). She doesn't like using the BBQ so I'd end up doing most of it.

3. It's all a bit of a faff really, we never really barbie at home anyway.

4. We still cook outside though, as we have the stove outside unless it's too raininy or windy. It lives on a small square Aluminum table we can easily move around

We use a couple of suit case burners and take a couple of disposable barbies.

We use disposable ones normally. We use it on our cook stand so we don't have to bend and it is off the ground. Wouldn't be half as much fun without a bbq.

I don't get it ? I haven't hidden it, honest .

I only used it once, and my eldest boy borrowed it, he'll probably fetch it back when the gas is empty, wait for me to buy a refill , and borrow it again for another 6 months
