We had a great time J We put the tent up in the drizzle on Friday and took it down in the drizzle on Tuesday!!! But in between it was great, a bit too hot on Sunday. It did pour down on Monday night but that was a good test for the new tent.  We loved the campsite, loved the tent, I LOVED my utility tent, so much so that when I asked our 5 year old son what he thought Mummy liked best about camping he said “the utility tent” J  Our son couldn’t decide what he liked best and plumped for everything, although at the top of his list were friends and the play area.

I needn’t have worried about him getting in the way when we were putting the tent up, after two attempts with the mallet he ran off to play with some other children.  For the first time in his life he was allowed to run off and play out of sight of Mummy and Daddy, I admit we did worry a bit but he was fine.

I have lots of pics and will post some and review the site once I have caught up at work, why does real life always have to get in the way?

Hiya,

Glad to read you had a lovley time, despite the drizzle. As for "a bit too hot on Sunday".. no chance of that for me, I love the sun/warmth  lol.

My children have such a great time when we camp. It's as though someone turns back the clock and they become old fashioned kids who play hide n seek and chasies (*sp). They laugh with each other and make up adventures. In contrast to home, where everything is xbox, nintendo ds and Britain's got talent! growling at each other as they pass on the stairs and moaning at being asked to help in the house!

Maybe we should sell up and live in a tent

everything will be ok in the end, if its not ok, its not the end. Anon.
