We are off tomorrow in our new tent (sunvalley6) and just realised it will be the first time in well over 4 year since we been in a tent! (had a folding camper and caravan in that time) Thinking of selling our little caravan in Aug, once we get back from France, maybe we will go back to a tent full time? See how it goes this weekend, can't wait!

Well done!!!

We have just sold our TT and gone back to camping but forgot how cold it was at night, well it was the start of may.

Ony 30min and fully set up compared to 90 min in the tt cant fault it.

Have a great time, we had our first time back in the tent in 7 years at the start of March, was soooooo cold but loved it,

Wouldn't sell the caravan though as may be a bit cold under canvas over new years!

Hopefully taking ours out in a few weeks again,

you can not beat a tent i think caravans are good but to say it is camping well i preffer tents although when it is raining putting one up is a pain lol!

It's a fact...when I'm away in the TT I look enviously at the tenters. When I'm in a tent I'm either wishing I was in the TT (usually because it's wet weather) or that I had brought a different tent. Never happy!

And I do look at caravans and think they do have their uses. In fact I have every intention of buying one when I get to old and creaky to be able to put up a tent. But then again, I quite fancy a little motorhome....

Love my tents now and wouldn't swap but do wonder about getting a van again when I'm older. As I don't want to go back to towing my idea is that I would get a tourer and base it on a site for the year, and maybe get it moved on to a different site as and when I fancied a change.

Always good to have a dream!

Well we just got back and it was fab, mind you with this weather couldn't not have been! Only thing is we need a trailer or roof box for next time as the car was packed like a tin of sardines! Thats the only good thing bout the caravan you don't need to pack so much but with our van being so small, with no loo or fridge, cant see its worth keeping just for a comfy bed, the air bed in the tent was quite comfy

Glad you had a great time, reading all these stories jut makes me even more keen to get out camping this year!

We have a roof box yet still never seems enough, would be soo much easier with a trailer box and alot easier packing it all away on the journey home, but anything you get will still be rammed! Us girls will buy a bigger handbag, only to find more stuff to fill it with anyway!!
